Happy Pride Month! Today marks day one of Pride, which celebrates LGBTQ+ communities all over the world.
This year is special too, as Pride is turning 50 years old!
We at Single-ish encourage a good party, and Pride’s golden year is definitely worth a good old knees up.
To make your lives easier, here is a list of all of the events happening this month along with event information to get you excited:
June 3
Oxford Pride
Starting from midday at Radcliffe Square (OX1 1BG), the parade leads you to Oxford Castle for celebrations. The main stage offers an eclectic selection of entertainers, with a Spice Girls tribute band finishing the day off. If you’re not done with partying by then, the official afterparty is being hosted at Plush Lounge (OX1 3HZ).

Southampton Party In The Park
It does what it says on the tin, can’t go wrong with a party in the park (and the weather is looking good)! A free event hosted in Palmerston Park (SO14 1LL), the celebrations kick start at 11 am. The lineup is complete with a Lady Gaga tribute artist, punk band Hunting for Hearts, and drag artist Dixie Normous.

Saltash Pride
The march starts at Victoria Gardens at midday and ends at Waterside (PL12 4GT), where the party continues. This event boasts the world’s largest pride flag! The afterparty showcases comedian Fat, Femme and Criplled and Singer Roxy Grew, providing family-friendly entertainment.

York Pride
North Yorkshire’s biggest LGBTQ+ celebration kicks off at midday, outside York Minster with a parade that makes its way through the city center, ending at the Knavesmire for the festival. The festival’s main stage will host acts such as Clair Richards from Steps and Kimberly Wyatt from The Pussycat Dolls, as well as drag queen Kitty Scott-Claus from Ru Paul’s Drag Race. If you’re not ready to go home after the festival, the official afterparty will be hosted at Ziggy’s Bar and Nightclub (YO1 6LJ).

June 10
Blackpool Pride
Hosted on Princess Promenade from 11:30 am, Blackpool offers eight hours of back-to-back entertainment: including DJs, Freemasons, singer Niki French, and a Little Mix tribute act. The party is complete with food and drink vendors and accessible viewing platforms to ensure everyone can enjoy their pride.

Canterbury Pride
The parade begins at 11:00 am at Westgate Gardens, ending at Dane John Gardens for the party. The festival hosts a huge collection of entertainers across four stages. The lineup contains many famous Ru Paul’s Drag Race drag queens including Danny Beard, Baga Chipz, and Le Fil, as well as chart-topping artists like Liberty X and Caity Baser.

Peterhead Pride
The event starts at 1:00 pm at Peterhead town hall. The party will be complete with a main stage for performers, over 30 charity stalls, and a kids’ area. Providing entertainment will be XFactor star, Sami Brookes!

Portsmouth Pride
Taking place on Southsea Common at midday, this lineup is exciting. Ru Paul’s Drag Race Stars Black Peppa and Danny Beard will be performing, alongside X Factor star Amelia Lily and lighthearted entertainment from Little Mix and Christina Aguilera tribute acts. The official afterparty is hosted at Hampshire Boulevard, for a club night and terrace party until 6 am!

St Ives & Hayle pride
It looks like Cornish pride events are sharing around the Biggest Pride Flag because it is set to appear in St Ives at midday for a parade starting on Wharf Road. The parade will finish at the Guildhall (TR26 2DS) for the party. Comedian Fat, Femme & Crippled, and X Factor star Benji Matthews will headline the event, along with entertainment from local artists.

June 17
Bodmin Pride
The appearance of the world’s biggest pride flag strikes again! The parade will begin at Lower Bore Street at midday and finish at Priory Car Park (PL31 2DE) for the festival. Comedians Fat, Femme and Crippled will provide entertainment, alongside a long list of local acts.

Cardiff Pride
A day festival hosted at Cardiff castle (CF10 3RB) at midday. Tickets are currently available at £16, but you’ve got to get them quickly before the price goes up! The main stage boasts acts such as Youngr, Jodie Harsh, July Jones, House Gospel Choir and Sophie Ellis-Bexter.

Chippenham Pride
Taking place at 1:00 pm in Monkton Park, Chhippenham’s pride event features a main stage, a speakers stage, a comedy tent and plenty of stalls and refreshments. Attendance is free, but it is asked that you register your interest.

Exmouth Pride
Hosted in Manor Gardens (EX8 1BB), the celebrations began at 11:00 AM. The headliner is Ruby May Spencer, supported by 80’s band Decade and Drag Artist Arina Fox. The official afterparty, at The Bath House (EX8 2AZ), will feature a selection of drag performers and carry on until the early morning for the dedicated partiers!

Salford Pride
The Pink Picnic festival is Salford’s Pride event, hosted in Peel Park (M5 4WU). The event starts at 1:00 pm, it is free to enter, but the event’s organizers ask for donations, as this is the only funding the festival receives. The main stage will feature Girls Aloud’s Naddine Coyle and Ru Paul’s Drag Race star Black Peppa, so it’s not worth missing.

Silloth Pride
Starting at midday at Silloth Rotary Club, this pride event will feature live entertainment, stalls, food and drink, a funfair, and even a mobile zoo. The event is free to attend.

June 24
Dublin pride
Dublin Pride begins at midday with a parade, leaving from O’Connell Street and ending at Merrion Square where there will be multiple stages, a neuropride zone, and a sustainable food court, Full event details and acts are announced today, so keep an eye out for that.

Edinburgh Pride
The parade will begin at Scottish Parliament at 12:30 pm and end at The Pride Edinburgh Festival Village in the EUSA Complex. The details of the festival are yet to be released, so make sure you keep checking back. If it’s anything like last year though, you won’t want to miss it!

Fraserburgh Pride
Hosted in Fraserburgh Town Hall at 1:00 pm, this pride event will include a headline performance from singer Nicki French, various local entertainers, over 30 charity stalls, and a children’s entertainment area.

Stoke On Trent Pride
Taking place at Hanley Park (ST1 4DX) at midday. So far, many charities and organizations, food and drink vendors, and retail stores have confirmed their attendance, so do check those out on the event page. The organizers are yet to release their performers for this year, so keep checking back for those.

Warrington Pride
The theme is Glitter! An evening pride event starting at 6:00 pm in The Old Market Square, this lineup features DJ sets from Fleur East and RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Crystal. This is a free event, and although taking place in the evening, under 18’s are allowed (as long as they are accompanied).

June 26
Abergavenny Pride
A parade through Abergavenny town starting at 11:00 am and ending at The Priory Centre (NP7 5ND) for the main event. The celebration will feature live entertainment, music, stalls, food, and a bar. The after-party is a paid event with stand-up comedians, drag performers, and a live DJ costing £20.
