Would you go on 50 First dates to find love?
Hannah Zaslawski is the woman doing it all. Living in the city of London she is on the search for her match, setting herself the challenge of going on 50 different first dates hoping to find her Mr. Right, documenting her journey on TikTok.
She talked us through her methods on finding someone and the first step to finding the right person is to put yourself out there, and in our digital society that’s usually through dating apps. Speaking to Single-ish she gave us advice on how to gain those all-important matches on Hinge.
She said: “ I ask them out all the time! Like as soon as we match within the first five messages I say when are you free let’s go for a coffee. I don’t want to drag it out with all the texting. It’s important that you meet up because people are different in person!”
I usually lead with “Hey would love to go for a drink or a coffee?”
She originally started posting the videos to keep her friends updated back in Australia. The series has become popular on TikTok with Hannah gaining thousands of followers and hitting over a million likes.
Now that Hannah has this following we were curious to know what happens if she gets to date number 30 and finds what she’s been looking for
Hannah replied: “I wouldn’t continue dating because the objective of this is to find my best friend and have a relationship.
There would be an added pressure because of the series but I guess the series would be over, unfortunately”
Which is definitely sad to hear, but understandable!
Hannah is hoping that she won’t make it to the 50th date but not all the dates have been so plain sailing, Hannah said: “My worst date so far has got to be when the guy was insulting me and I drank way too much wine! The next day I had major hangxiety I was like oh no! What have I done? Am I going to see him again? But it was fine he blocked me on all channels.”
She continued “During the date he kept telling me that I wasn’t being myself, and I was thinking you don’t know me! Also, this is the first date no one is ever themselves on the first date. “
She explains “I don’t want to reach (Date) 50 but I’m also going to settle! I’ve been single for a while and I wouldn’t get into a relationship for the sake of getting into a relationship”
Which is definitely a lesson to all of us singletons!
