Never Put the Milk in First
Panic Shack is a five-piece DIY Punk band from Cardiff, who came onto the scene in 2018, pissed off with male domination in the music industry.
The band is made up of Sarah Harvey (vocals), Meg Fretwell (guitar/backing vocals), Romi Lawrence (guitar/backing vocals), Em Smith (bass) and Ed Barker (drums).
Their first EP, released in April of last year, featured ‘The Ick’, a song about the members’ real experiences of getting the Ick.
The band told Wales Arts Review: “The Ick’ is about that feeling you get when you’re dating someone and they do something that really turns you off. No matter how insignificant or trivial – the feeling is irreversible and it’s really not their fault. Something that shouldn’t be a deal-breaker but when you’re there staring your Ick in the face, there really is no coming back from it.”
The band protest against getting shushed in the cinema, and are absolutely outraged by their love interest putting the milk in first when making a cuppa.
But what else do the band find icky? Em made the band play a game of Ick or no Ick…
